(Paper, Panel, Artist Talks, Institutional Presentations)
Three important dates presenters must remember for ISEA2020 Online:
In the announcement of June 10, presenters were notified that ISEA 2020 will now be 100% digital.
Online academic presentations will be streamed over four days – October 13 to 16 – from 7:00 am to 19:00 (Montreal time : GMT-4) in order to cover the most time zones and accommodate the largest number of international delegates.
Presentations – except keynotes – will be pre-recorded and streamed, however, discussions following the presentations will be live. Like in-person panel sessions, the presentation videos will be grouped thematically. For the live Q&A and discussion time, authors will be online along with mediators and participants, to exchange and answer questions in real-time. Each session will last up to 90 minutes.
Presentations must therefore be pre-recorded and sent in by August 17, 2020, via WeTransfer, to [email protected]
– Full paper presentation videos can be up to 15 minutes long.
– Short paper presentation videos, artist talks and institutional presentation videos can be up to 10 minutes long.
– Panel presentation videos cannot total more than 40 minutes, including all presenters in the panel.

Cybersecurity, archives and access to documentation
The technology used for ISEA2020 Online is currently being developed, with the presentation and networking tools being integrated. We will present it at a later stage, specifying all the security measures put in place to ensure safe and exclusive access to the platform and everything it will contain.
Video documentation of panel sessions will remain available on the platform to delegates of ISEA2020 exclusively for 6 months following the symposium (until mid-april 2021). Following, this period, video presentations will be archived by ISEA.
Accepted poster presenters will login to a “virtual space” on the ISEA2020 Online platform, where they will upload media about their research.
This virtual space will only be accessible to registered presenters 2 weeks before October 13th, but presenters will be invited to an onboarding session beforehand (a virtual guided tour, at the end of August, date tbd).
The virtual space will be available for the entire duration of the academic symposium (October 13 to 16). Visitors will be able to access this virtual space, communicate with authors and request meetings to discuss their work during this time.
Authors may begin preparing the media for their space.
